James Riley is a backend engineer with deep expertise in distributed systems and mobile device automation. Based in Arlington, Virginia, he has spent much of his career reverse-engineering undocumented third-party stacks—especially within iOS internals—to discover new ways of integrating and extending closed systems. At CloudQuery, James applies this skill set to build resilient backend services while continually exploring emerging technologies and new tooling. Outside of work, he enjoys creating small personal projects (often in Go) and sharing insights with the developer community.
